Care Instructions for Your Lacraste Piece

(Because even a revolution needs some TLC in the wash)

Our t-shirts, hoodies, and tank tops are made to last, make a statement, and keep up with you through everything — from the party to the couch, from the struggle to the nap.
But to keep the print sharp, the fabric in shape, and your style always on point, here are some basic care tips you should (and definitely should) follow.

After all, good prints deserve respect too.

🧼 First wash: take it slow, keep it cool

Remember that new shirt smell? It fades after the first wash.

Turn your garment inside out before washing — this protects the print and shows you’re a person of good taste.

Use cold or lukewarm water. Hot water = sad print.

Use a mild detergent. Fabric softener is okay, but don’t overdo it (it’s not perfume).

🚫 What NOT to do (for the love of Frida, Van Gogh, and cosmic cats)

  • Never use bleach. Seriously. Never ever.

  • Avoid soaking for too long.

  • Washing with heavy items (like jeans) can cause unnecessary wear.

  • Don’t twist or wring it out like you’re on a mission — the shirt did nothing to deserve that.

🌀 Washing machine? Yes, but be gentle.

  • Always use a gentle cycle.

  • Turn the garment inside out.

  • No dryers — let the sun do its thing.

☀️ Drying

  • If possible, dry in the shade.

  • Direct sunlight can fade the print over time.

  • Avoid thin hangers that deform shoulders — go for a flat clothesline or wide hanger.

🧴 Iron or not to iron?

  • If you must iron, turn the piece inside out.

  • Use medium heat with steam.

  • Never iron directly over the print — the art will thank you.

⏳ Over time, your piece will change — and that’s part of the beauty.

The charm of a real t-shirt lies in its wear and tear.
The print might fade a little over the years — but that just shows it’s lived with you.

In summary:

Wash with respect, dry with patience, iron with care.
And keep slaying with art and attitude, always.
